At The Private Level
There are 375 clinics with a capacity of 10,562 beds. The Casablanca-Settatregion alone concentrates 118 clinics, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (62 clinics), Marrakech-Safi (46), Fès- Meknes (39), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (31), Béni Mellal- Khénifra (26), Oriental (25), Souss-Massa (23), Draâ Tafilalet (4), Guelmim Oued Noun (1). It should also be noted that there are 10,125 medical consultation offices in the private sector. The private sector also has 283 radiology offices, 582 laboratory offices, 3,643 dental offices. As for pharmacies, their number is 9,189.
The Government of the Kingdom of Morocco actively promotes investment in the healthcare and wellness. With a new health strategy launched in 2022, it has aligned itself with the recommendations of the New Development Model by setting a target of 23 medical professionals for 10,000 citizens by 2025, and 45 medical professionals for 10,000 citizens by 2030.
